(NFL) The NFL has suspended the Seahawks CB Brandon Browner for a total of four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Brandon Browner’s suspension is to begin immediately and not a minute later. He will be able to return back to the active roster on Monday, Dec. 31 after Seattle’s final regular-season game on Dec. 30 against the St. Louis Rams. He can play in all of the playoffs games tho.
It was reported that Brandon Browner and teammate CB Richard Sherman were facing four-game suspensions. R. Sherman has an appeal hearing that reportedly will take place on Dec. 14. Both cornerbacks tested positive for the drug Adderall, according to multiple reports.
In 12 games this season, B. Browner has 44 tackles, six passes defensed, three interceptions and three forced fumbles. The Seahawks’ top reserve corners are Marcus Trufant and Walter Thurmond.
Seattle did sign CB Ron Parker off the Panthers’ practice squad and promoted CB DeShawn Shead from its practice squad.
