Raiders Release QB Matt Flynn


(NFL) The Oakland Raiders have released  their backup quarterback Matt Flynn.

Oakland acquired Matt Flynn from Seattle in the offseason after giving up two draft picks and then signed him to a contract with $6.5 million in guaranteed money.

Matt Flynn didn’t perform as expected throughout his short stay in Oakland, losing the starting job to Terrelle Pryor in training camp and then falling to third on the depth chart behind Matt McGloin last week.
