Mo Williams To Retire From NBA

(NBA) When ball is no longer life for the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Mo Williams.

With less than a week ago he announced on Twitter that he was going to play out his final year with the organization before calling it a career, Williams’ agent has informed general manager David Griffin that he will retire from the NBA.

Mo was experiencing swelling in his left knee, and was missing in action for a huge part of the middle of the season which may have led to his decision to call it quits.

Averaging 13.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds over 818 career appearances, including 9.8 points and 2.6 assists in 62 playoff games. Williams was named to his only All-Star Game in 2009 during his first stint in Cleveland, where he finished second on the team in scoring behind Lebron James, averaging 17.8 points.

Williams picked up his player option worth $2.2 million back in June after averaging 8.2 points and 2.4 assists on 43.7 percent shooting.
