Indiana Pacers Waive Guard Orlando Johnson

(NBA) After sending Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76ers and adding Evan Turner/Lavoy Allen to the Indiana Pacers, Indiana’s release of former 2nd-round pick Orlando Johnson.

After playing 51 games last season in Indiana (averaging 4.0 points per game in 12.1 minutes), the 24-year-old shooting guard saw less court time in time this season after CJ Watson and others joined the team.

“Orlando is a great kid,” said Larry Bird. “We hope he has a long and successful career.”
