(NFL) The Steelers continues their hot streak, extending their winning streak to five games when they destroyed the Panthers —–> 52-21.
Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger completed 22 of 25 throws for 328 yards and five touchdowns to five different receivers. He achieved a perfect 158.3 passer rating for the fourth time in his 15-year career.
When asked best game ever, Ben?
“Well, if you’re looking at stats — probably,” Roethlisberger said. “But, you know what? Guys make plays. I’m only gonna be as good as the linemen are and the guys making the plays for me.”
The Steelers set a record for points at Heinz Field with the help of multiple playmakers. JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner, Jesse James, Vance McDonald, Antonio Brown, Jaylen Samuels each had a touchdown on offense, and Vince Williams ran back an interception for a score.
Cam Newton threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns, both to Christian McCaffrey, while going 23 of 29 with one interception. McCaffrey also recorded a rushing touchdown, making him the only Carolina player to reach the end zone in the game.
Le’Veon Bell has still not reported to the Steelers, and the Steelers can use his explosive stutter step. With both Bell and Conner as RB, Steelers will dominate their division and possibly win the Super Bowl. *SHRUGS* Conner is averaging 23.6 touches per game, with averages of 5.7 yards per touch and 135.6 total yards per game. Conner has 10 total touchdowns in eight games, just one fewer than Bell had in 15 games last year. Conner has four separate games of 100-plus yards and two touchdowns on the ground, which is one more than Bell has in his entire career.
Right now us die hard Steeler fans is playing the waiting game to see what happens.
