(Youth Sports) Quarterback Malik Henry announced he would play college football for the Florida State Seminoles during a Thursday afternoon telecast on ESPNU.
Henry comes from Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks, California, and is one hellava gem of the 2016 class. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he’s the No. 1 pro-style QB prospect in the nation and the fifth-ranked player overall.
When comparing him to another elite QB, some would compare Henry favorably to Florida State Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston… *shrugs*
The high school superstar prepares for his transition to the collegiate level. Which no doubt he’ll have no problem adjusting to.
Henry looks to become the latest in a long line of highly-successful Florida State quarterbacks, recently including Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel and Winston.
The Seminoles gets a pat on the back as they land someone like Henry who can actually emerge as one of the elite QB’s in NCAAFB.
